How Credits Work

Credits in Magic Patterns are used for AI-powered features like generating designs and iterations. They are part of your subscription plan and renew automatically each month. We like to keep things simple, predictable, and save you money! Currently, each prompt is only 1 credit in Magic Patterns, regardless of the length of the prompt.
Features like “Fix with AI” and all non-AI actions (e.g., manual edits, exports, sharing) do not consume credits. Only direct AI generations count.

Monthly Refresh Cycle

  • Credits renew at 2:00 AM UTC on the day after the anniversary of your subscription start date.
  • This means if you are based in San Francisco, and your subscription started on the 16th, the refresh will happen around ~7:00 PM PST on the 16th. If you are based in London, and your subscription started on the 16th, the refresh will happen at 2:00 AM on the 17th.
  • This ensures any subscription changes are captured and applied before the credits are refreshed.

Checking Your Credit Balance

To view your current credit balance:
  1. Log in to www.magicpatterns.com.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. Your available credits will be displayed in the dropdown.
