Series A and Magic Patterns 2.05 minutesAlex Danilowicz
Announcing our $6 Series A

We've raised $6M in Series A funding to help product teams go from idea to production.

Today, 1,500+ product teams use Magic Patterns to prompt their features to life with our AI design tool. Our customers include both fast-growing startups and AI-native enterprises.

Customers consistently share with us that Magic Patterns is extremely fast and produces high-quality output, thanks to our deep focus on prototyping use cases and our code-first, AI-native foundation. Since our first launch in 2023, we've intentionally focused on generating frontend code.

Today, we're announcing our new brand look and Magic Patterns 2.0:

  • Import your custom design system
  • Use your existing product's styles
  • Reuse components in our AI-native editor
  • Collaborate with teammates on our real-time canvas
  • Scale with our enterprise-first features

Import components from Figma and Storybook

Teams import their design systems using our Chrome Extension to grab components from any website, such as Storybook, or our Import from Figma feature.

For example, customers might import their button component from Storybook, then reference it in prompts with @LibraryName/Button. Or, they can connect the library to a preset, so that Magic Patterns automatically uses their components.

Use your existing product's styles

Presets let you configure a default prompt that runs before every generation. Teams use presets to define brand colors, typography, and component libraries.

When a preset is connected to a component library, the AI automatically pulls from those components when generating designs.

Reuse components in our AI-first editor

Our chat interface includes features like Select Mode, where you click an element in your design to tell the AI exactly what to change. Version control lets you roll back to any previous state, instantly. Use commands to debug, get inspiration, and discuss with the AI.

Collaborative and real-time

Team workspaces let you invite team members, share component libraries and presets, and manage billing. You can invite as many team members as you want.

When you share a design, you can set permissions for who can view or edit. Teams use this to collect feedback and collaborate on mockups before shipping to production.

Enterprise support

Our platform is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified. Our customers include AI-native enterprises like Origami Risk, Lendi Group, and Ovative Group.

SSO and SCIM are available. You can view our compliance reports in our Trust Center.

What's Next + Series A Funding

This Series A round is led by Standard Capital, with participation from Y Combinator, Essence VC, Pioneer Fund, Twenty Two Ventures, and several angels.

This summer, we grew profitably, and decided to fundraise to grow even faster and continue building the best AI design tool the world has ever seen.
